Tullum DOC Passerina

LThe grapes used in producing Tullum doc Passerina come from vineyards in hilly areas of Tollo indicated in cadastral map sheets 9 of Località Santa Lucia and sheet 7of Località Pedine.

It is one of the historical wines from Abruzzo and the exclusive personality of Passerina in Tollo has been enhanced by the right choice of the clone, grafting and place for growing.

Passerina expresses its best when grown in loose and mainly sandy soil, but fresh and calcareous, north and north-east faced.

The vineyards used for Tullum Doc Passerina are grown very carefully, without missing each single step from the planting to the pruning and the selection of the bunches for the vintage.

The selection is made at the moment of the veraison, leaving on the vine the right quantity of grape. The type of cultivation is the traditional arbour from Abuzzo.

According and respecting the local old traditional rules for making wine, vinification involves the maceration of the skins for a short period of time in the pre-fermentation phase followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Tullum Doc Passerina is a very fresh wine, slightly sparkling, with an intense fruity hint.
